The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is the governing body responsible for the supervision, adjudication, and control over all telecommunications services throughout the country. NTC processing includes obtaining the NTC Certificate for wireless products, including telecommunications equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment, and other wireless-related products.
Radio Communications Equipments (RCE) products that are neither connected to the public network nor covered by Type Approval requirements must undergo compulsory Type Acceptance Certification.
RCE are devices capable of emitting radio frequency waves or energy intended for the transmission of signals, messages or intelligence with the use or support of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth devices.
Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) is defined as equipment located in the premises of a customer or subscriber, for connection to public telecommunications network facilities.
All regulated equipment/devices shall be submitted by the accredited dealers and suppliers to the NTC for a type approval/acceptance registration. Registered indoor equipment issued by the Commission must bear an NTC registration number for identification purposes. There are requirements that should be submitted to NTC before the approval/acceptance of the registration and issuance of the certificate.
